Favourite Websites

This page lists the various websites I keep track of. When I am not reading an interesting book or listening to music I am usually reading something else. I  consider reading one of my core activities during the day.

Ars Technicawww.arstechnica.com

This website gives good insights in digital and technological trends and developments.

Digging in tha Crateswww.digginginthacrates.com

This website is run by Sir Bonkers. He is a very good reviewer and likes all kinds of music, in particular Hip Hop.

The Encyclopaedia Britannicawww.britannica.com

If I did not have access to the internet, I would have a set of these books. For fact checking and general information searches, the famous Encyclopaedia Britannica is a great source.

The Guardianwww.theguardian.com/uk

Among the newspapers I frequently check out, the Guardian is a favourite because sometimes there are excellent articles and comments.

Googlewww.google.com

As a general search engine Google is a great search engine. I tried others but I prefer Google for general searches.

InnerFidelitywww.innerfidelity.com

As I mention this website I immediately confirm I am into audio. Besides that though, this website is very informative and accessible. The founder of the website, Tyl Hertsens is an expert in many things audio.

Khan Academy www.khanacademy.org

Sometimes a bit of explanation, some examples and a few exercises are better than thick books that present you with walls of text. Khan Academy helped me a lot through my studies.

The New York Timeswww.nytimes.com

This newspaper is also a newspaper I sometimes check out. Whether to have an impression of the American perspective or just for interesting and excellent articles, the New York Times is among my favourites.

Quartzwww.qz.com

This website writes about recent news and particular trends and developments. It is one of my favourite websites for news that offers different perspectives.

Behind The White Coatdoctorly.wordpress.com

I like short stories. Sometimes the best stories, fiction or non-fiction are short and leave you to imagine being there. I have discovered this blog when starting out and it is one of my favourites. I can only thank the author for sharing such good reads.

Tech Dirt www.techdirt.com

In addition to Ars Technica Tech Dirt focuses on all things digital and technological. Also Tech Dirt directly addresses topics like civil rights, privacy, copyright, DRM and the internet.

Tech the Future www.techthefuture.com

Tech the Future topics are related to technology, science and society. The website has very interesting articles which go further than just recent news.

Wikipediaen.wikipedia.org

For quick fact checking Wikipedia is a very good website. It is always important though to double-check with an additional source.

Errin Spelling – errinspelling.wordpress.com

In poetry there is the concise format of haikus. Once you appreciate them and start writing them you bump into people like Errin. I have learnt of Errin’s haikus through Twitter. If ever you need ideas for seventeen syllables, Errin shows off what you can do with them. Yes, some of her haikus are weird and I appreciate that. Creativity tends to lead to weird things.

John – storytimewithjohn.com

This blog is one of the quirky ones. So quirky that I sometimes have to check it out because John has a sense of humour I appreciate. On WordPress this blog is varied in content and John’s style really works for the content he posts. I really appreciate this blog when I have the time to read a bit more.

  1. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your weblog? My blog site is in the exact same area of interest as yours and my visitors would certainly benefit from a lot of the information you provide here.
Please let me know if this allright with you.

    Appreciate it!
