Today I made a brief walk. In the surroundings of Amsterdam there is more than architecture, culture and monuments. When you go to the edge of Amsterdam you actually find less buildings and more trees. In short, as you leave the centre you will more parks, lawns trees and even bits of forest.
The closest forest to Amsterdam is the Amsterdamse Bos. This forest stretches from west to east south of Amsterdam’s city centre. It is located between Schiphol and Amstelveen. I live close to the Amsterdamse Bos.
The pictures here are from my neighbourhood just before nightfall. Think of the last few hours of daylight when the breeze becomes cooler. In the Netherlands a good summer is expected. Plenty of sunshine and some hot days usually followed by rain.
Either way, a walk and a camera…
